Musée d’Art et d’Histoire (Musée Cinquantenaire, Brussels, Belgium). Made with CapturingReality. This fragmentary sculpture depicts a female figure wearing a tunic (chiton) and a coat (himation). This fashion takes over in Attic sculpture in the middle of the fifth century BC. J. – C. in the line of the sculptures of Parthenon. This figure is inspired by a statue created around 430-420 BC. But adapting it, perhaps for a representation of Fortune, because a hole in the upper left arm suggests the attachment of an object as the great cornucopia that the goddess is leaning on this arm.
