Grand Prix De Monaco is a bronze by the French sculptor Becquerel that captures the excitement of a Bugatti racing car speeding through the streets of Monte Carlo. The influence of cubism shows in the modelling of the rocky cliff, and the stylisation of the car, figures and rockwork gives the composition a fine simplicity. Becquerel was a pupil of Hector Lemaire and Prosper Lecourtier at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and specialised in Art Deco animal sculpture, exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1914 to 1922.
