Beschrijving
A rishi or Hindu sage is a statue of a rishi, discovered in the Angkor Thom region of Cambodia. Rishi is a Vedic term for an inspired poet of the hymns of the Vedas. Later Hindu tradition sees the rishis as seers or great sages who, after intense meditation, realised the supreme truth and eternal knowledge and set it down in hymns.
