Beschrijving
Frieze-architrave comes from the cella of the Temple of Apollo Sosianos in Rome and was found in the temple area in 1937. It shows a triumphal procession in which servants carry a ferculum with loaves of bread and parts of a pig for a ritual celebration. The thin slab was probably held up by pilasters and decorated the wall at the far end of the cella.
