This is a fragment of panel 115 of Trajan’s Column. This group of scenes marks the many ways of how the second Dacian campaign culminated, introducing the second Dacian war. In the midst of a major assault on the Dacian centre of power (the side of Sarmizegethusa), Dacian defenders are shown making a sally from their walls. These are soon assaulted by Romans in the following panels (not shown here)
