In this scene of The Sacrifice of Isaac, sculpted in stone, an Angel (disappearing from the left side) prevents Abraham from sacrificing his son Isaac, who is bound and sitting on a throne. The viewer can see the smile of relief on Isaac’s face. The original of this work can be seen at the Museum of Farinier de Cluny. This copy has been realised for the Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine.
