Beschrijving
Antisthenes portrays the Greek philosopher Antisthenes of Athens, born around 445 BC and died around 365 BC. He was a disciple of Socrates and is considered the founder of the Cynic school of philosophy, although Diogenes of Sinope is often given that credit. The portrait is displayed at the Antike am Königsplatz in Munich, which shows Bavaria’s collections of antiquities from Greece, Etruria and Rome.
