Beschrijving
Bust of Rasul Gamzamov portrays the popular Avar poet (8 September 1923 – 3 November 2003). He was eleven when he wrote his first verse, about a group of local boys who ran down to the clearing where an aeroplane had landed for the first time. One of his poems, Zhuravli, became a well-known Soviet song, and other poems, such as ‘Gone Sunny Days’, were also set to music. A portrait bust of one of the best-loved poets of the Caucasus.
