Ceres and Proserpina is a marble sculpture of Ceres standing with her daughter Proserpina seated beside her. In the myth, Proserpina was carried off by Pluto, god of the underworld, while picking flowers in the fields. Because she ate six pomegranate seeds there, she could not return for good, and Jupiter sent Mercury to make a deal with Pluto. A tender group of the famous mother and daughter of Roman mythology.
Made to order and hand-finished in the Netherlands. Choose from 11 sizes, from a 7 cm miniature to a 48 cm statement piece, in marble white, gold, bronze or any colour you like.
