Beschrijving

Rastrojon is located a few kilometres from the main Copan site. Structure 10 was distinguished by the superb quality, quantity, and variety of its sculptures. Many of it symbolic elements were associated with the culture of the great city of Teotihuacan in the highlands of Mexico. The element reproduced here is a supernatural puma with k’in (sun) symbols on its earrings and Teotihuacan storm god-style eye goggles.
