Galeria Valeria Eutropia (died after 325), a woman of Syrian origin, was the wife of the emperor Maximian. Their son Maxentius was Western Roman Emperor from 306 to 312, and their daughter Fausta married Constantine the Great and was mother of the emperors Constantine II, Constantius II and Constans. Her hairstyle recalls that of Helena, a fashion of the late 3rd century also seen on high-ranking women on 4th-century sarcophagi. The portrait belongs to a very rare dynastic group of four heads.
