Beschrijving
Icarus is an abstract sculpture of a human figure with arms wide open and wings behind. It illustrates the Greek myth of Icarus, imprisoned with his father Daedalus in the palace of Knossos on Crete. To escape, they made wings of feathers and wax. Icarus ignored his father’s advice and flew too close to the Sun, which melted the wax, and he fell into the sea.
