This Lady Sackville portrays Lady Sackville-West, an elegant, wealthy friend and loyal client of Rodin. They met in 1900 and again in 1913, when she asked him for her portrait. It took many sittings, and Rodin made numerous models, changing the facial expression, the line of the neck and the position of the head. A refined Rodin portrait.
