Lakshmi is a bust of the Hindu goddess of wealth, fortune and prosperity, wife and shakti, or energy, of Vishnu. With Parvati and Saraswati she forms the Tridevi. Lakshmi is also an important deity in Jainism and was a goddess of abundance and fortune for Buddhists, shown on the oldest surviving stupas and cave temples. In Tibet, Nepal and Southeast Asia the goddess Vasudhara mirrors her characteristics.
