Panel 3 of Piedras Negras is considered the most extraordinary example of Classic Maya sculpture. Made on the orders of the 7th ruler, it celebrates the katun jubilee of his father, Ruler 4, attended by the royal family, local nobles and visitors from Yaxchilan. Ruler 4 presides from a throne in the centre, with a headdress of quetzal feathers and finely carved belt ornaments, framed by hieroglyphs and three groups of figures. A jaguar-skin cushion lies behind him.
Each piece is made to order and finished by hand in the Netherlands. Available in 11 sizes from 7 to 48 cm, in classic marble white, gold, bronze or a colour of your choice.
