Statue of a Woman with a Hare as Votive Offering is a marble kore from the sanctuary of Hera on Samos, around 560 BC. Statues of richly dressed young girls were placed on tombs or dedicated to the gods. This one is an offering, as her inscription says: Cheramyes set me up, an extremely beautiful statue, for the goddess. She holds a hare as a votive gift.
