The eagle hunters is a model after the bronze original in the Musée d’Orsay, commissioned by the French State in 1893 for the Muséum d’Histoire in Paris. Its sculptor, Coutan, is best known for the iconic group above the entrance of Grand Central Terminal in New York. A dynamic, powerful scene.
