The Virgin Mary from an Annunciation Group is by the Master of Grosslobming, a leading figure of the Beautiful Style in Austria, probably active in Vienna. Her hands are crossed humbly over her midriff and her gaze turns expectantly to the left, where the accompanying angel stood. That kneeling angel is now in the Belvedere in Vienna, and the eye contact subtly connects the two figures. The statue is the focus of the Liebieghaus collection of International Style sculpture and shows the influence of Prague sculpture around 1380–1400.
