Torso of a Statue of Dionysos is a marble torso said to come from Asia Minor, acquired in 1841. It is either a Greek original from the High Classical period or an excellent copy from the early Roman Imperial age; damage to the surface makes it hard to decide. The statue had a beardless head and most likely held a cantharos in the right hand and a thyrsos staff in the left.
