Torso of a statue of Heracles is the surviving torso of a marble statue of Heracles, discovered in the Gymnasium of Salamis, Cyprus. Heracles was the divine hero of Greek myth, son of Zeus and Alcmene and foster son of Amphitryon. He was the greatest of the Greek heroes, ancestor of royal clans and champion of the Olympian order against monsters. In Rome he was known as Hercules, and later emperors such as Commodus and Maximian liked to identify with him. The Romans adopted his story largely unchanged.
Made to order and hand-finished in the Netherlands. Choose from 11 sizes, from a 7 cm miniature to a 48 cm statement piece, in marble white, gold, bronze or any colour you like. Explore more pieces in our Europa collection.
