Votive Relief of Attic Washer Men and Women for the Nymphs

Particularly in Athens and Attica, they were placed in sanctuaries to honour the deities, to lend weight to prayers and to extend thanks to granted favours. More than two thousand preserved specimens grant deep insights into the religious practices of the time.
