When compared with another bust (KAS 820, from Lelli Foundry’s Picture Catalog, No.516) the similarities are so starkly obvious that they appear to depict the same person, an Isotta di Rimini, wife of S. Malatesta. With this said, definitive identification cannot be made possible.
Isotta degli Atti (late 1432 or 1433 – 9 July 1474) was an Italian Renaissance woman, who was the mistress and later wife of the condottiero and lord of Rimini, Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta
The original is housed in Camposanto (ORIG2445)
