The Limnerlease Ceiling Panel – Owl features an owl and is one of many panels from a ceiling at Limnerslease, the home of Mary and G.F. Watts in Guildford. The panels date from the early years of their marriage, after a long honeymoon and a winter in Compton in 1889 that led them to found the Arts and Crafts complex now called Watts Gallery – Artists’ Village. A wise owl for a study or library.
