This Monumental Portrait Head of Alexander the Great is a highlight of the Pestalozzi Collection. It once belonged to the famous collection of ancient sculpture at Marbury Hall in Cheshire, assembled by James Hugh Smith Barry (1746–1801), which included the Jupiter now at the Getty Villa. Like Barry, Dr Anton Pestalozzi opened his collection to scholars. An imposing portrait of the great conqueror.
Made to order and hand-finished in the Netherlands. Choose from 11 sizes, from a 7 cm miniature to a 48 cm statement piece, in marble white, gold, bronze or any colour you like.
