Grave stele is an Athenian funerary stele in the form of a naiskos with pilasters. On the pediment a farewell to the dead man, Nikainetos, is incised. Accompanied by his young slave, he wears a himation and holds a papyrus scroll, showing that he was a state official or a man of letters. The stele was discovered in Athens.
