Head of Artemis or Apollo is a high-quality marble head from Athens, 330–300 BC, made to be set onto a monumental statue, perhaps a cult image. Its soft features, hairstyle and pierced earlobes led it to be seen as female and linked with Artemis, yet all these traits are also found in images of Apollo.
