These Two Adoring Angels in terracotta were once ascribed to Giovanni della Robbia but are now seen as late products of Andrea della Robbia’s workshop. They come from a lunette, perhaps above a doorway, where they flanked the Virgin and Child, a saint or God the Father. Each was finished by a different assistant, the right-hand angel being notably more sensitive.
